How did you hear about the role?
I came across the role advertised on LinkedIn. I’d known about Tiimely since its early days and had been following the company’s growth over the years, so when the opportunity came up it felt like a really natural next step.
Can you explain the interview process?
The whole interview process was a great experience. The People and Culture team were incredibly responsive and did an excellent job setting expectations around what to expect at each stage. They kept me informed throughout the process, even checking in to let me know about any delays or next steps, which was really comforting. It genuinely showed that the business respects people’s time and values clear, open communication.
Can you explain your current role?
I’m a Product Owner in the Platform Resilience squad. I work closely with engineers, architects, and product managers to help shape and prioritise the work that keeps our platform evolving. As a PO, a big part of my role is helping set direction and making sure the team is focused on solving the right problems at the right time. That often means balancing quick wins with longer‑term platform health, having open conversations about trade‑offs, and supporting the team to make well‑informed decisions together.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
The daily problem-solving we do is incredibly satisfying. My team tackles complex technical challenges, and we work really well together to make thoughtful decisions that support the long-term stability and scalability of the platform. Being part of a team with such high standards and a mindset of constantly improving things for other developers and the people who use our platform is really rewarding.
Would you describe yourself as a more technical or a more creative person?
I'd say both. I love the analytical and systematic nature of tech, which is what originally drew me to the industry. But there’s also a strong creative element too, especially in problem‑solving, where finding the best solution often means thinking differently and exploring new approaches. Outside of work I would consider myself more creative, sometimes that’s expressed through restoring old furniture, doing pottery, curating art in my home, or getting creative in the kitchen.
