What was it like to apply for the role?
I first learnt about Tiimely through an ex‑colleague who spoke very highly of the workplace, its values, and the overall culture. Hearing such positive feedback from someone I trust made me genuinely excited to explore the opportunity.
The application process itself was clear, transparent, and thoughtfully structured. From the beginning, it felt like Tiimely was interested in understanding me as a whole — not just my technical skills, but how I think, collaborate, and align with the organisation’s values. The interview conversations were engaging, respectful, and felt very much like a two‑way discussion, which made the experience feel authentic, positive, and welcoming.
What are your thoughts on Tiimely’s values?
Tiimely’s values really resonate with me because they don’t just exist on paper — I see them lived out in day‑to‑day interactions. I experience them in the way teams work together, how leaders genuinely support and trust their people, and how everyone is encouraged to keep learning and improving. It creates an environment where I feel comfortable taking ownership and confident that my contributions matter.
I especially value how the “time to be human” principle is practiced. People take the time to be kind, understanding, and approachable, which makes a real difference in how it feels to come to work every day. It makes the workplace not only productive but also welcoming and enjoyable.
Was it easy to understand the organisational structure?
Yes, I found the organisational structure easy to understand and navigate. From the outset, roles, responsibilities, and ways of working were clearly communicated, which made it simple to see how different teams connect and collaborate. This clarity helped me quickly understand where my role fits and how my work contributes to Tiimely’s broader purpose.
What stood out most to me as a new starter was the opportunity to meet the CEO and interact with him on a regular basis. It’s incredibly refreshing and reassuring to see such accessibility at a leadership level. The emphasis on transparency genuinely comes to life here — knowing that you can ask a question or raise a concern directly with the CEO, even anonymously, reinforces a culture of openness, trust, and psychological safety.
How do you stay up to date and keep your skills sharp?
I stay current by being continuously curious and open to learning. I make a conscious effort to keep up with lending policy changes, market movements, and internal updates, and I learn a lot through everyday collaboration with colleagues across teams.
I also value feedback and regular reflection, as they help me refine my approach and improve the way I deliver outcomes. At Tiimely, the strong culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement makes it easy to keep developing, learning, and growing in my role.
What were your thoughts when you first stepped out of the lift and into the Tiimely office?
My first impression was how welcoming and energising the space felt the moment I stepped out of the lift. The office has a modern, open atmosphere, but what truly stood out to me was the people. There was an immediate sense of warmth, connection, and approachability — it felt like a place where people genuinely enjoy working together and are proud of what they do. It instantly made me feel comfortable and excited to be there.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
What I find most rewarding about my role is the meaningful impact of the work I do each day. Supporting customers and brokers through important financial milestones is incredibly fulfilling, especially knowing how significant these moments are in their lives and businesses.
I also value working in an environment that places a strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and efficiency. Tiimely encourages doing things thoughtfully and continuously improving the way we deliver outcomes, which makes the work both engaging and purposeful. Knowing that my contribution helps create positive experiences and better results for customers and partners makes my role genuinely meaningful and rewarding.
What type of project excites you most at Tiimely?
Projects that challenge the status quo genuinely excite me — especially those aimed at enhancing customer experience, streamlining processes, and leveraging technology to work smarter and more efficiently. I find the greatest satisfaction in initiatives that question how things have traditionally been done and seek better, more innovative solutions.
I was fortunate to be a core UAT Tester for Tiimely’s smart technology solutions, which played a key role in shaping the next generation of credit assessment. Being able to take ownership of testing, identify improvements, and provide valuable feedback ahead of a major launch was both professionally rewarding and highly motivating. It was exciting to contribute directly to delivering a solution that would have a meaningful impact on customers, brokers, and the wider business.
Tiimely’s strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement creates an environment where projects like these thrive. The opportunity to be involved in meaningful change and help deliver smarter, more effective outcomes is what motivates me most and keeps my work engaging and fulfilling.
How did you get started in your field?
I began my career by building a strong foundation in lending and customer service, where I developed a deep understanding of customer needs and the importance of delivering clear, reliable outcomes. This experience naturally led me into home lending, an area where I could combine technical knowledge with meaningful customer impact.
Over time, I developed a strong interest in credit assessment and problem‑solving, particularly in understanding complex scenarios and finding balanced, compliant solutions. I’ve continued to grow by actively seeking opportunities that allow me to strengthen my technical expertise while staying focused on customer‑centric outcomes. This journey has shaped my approach to my role today and continues to motivate my professional development.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into a similar role?
My advice would be to start by building a strong understanding of the fundamentals and never stop being curious. Taking the time to learn the basics well — whether that’s lending principles, credit assessment, or customer needs — creates a solid foundation to grow from. Being open to continuous learning and development is key, as the industry is constantly evolving.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are also essential. Being able to explain complex information clearly, work closely with others, and approach challenges thoughtfully can make a real difference in this type of role.
Most importantly, seek out organisations like Tiimely that genuinely invest in their people. Working in an environment that supports growth, encourages innovation, and values its people allows you to develop your skills while growing alongside the business — which makes the journey both rewarding and sustainable.
