How we hire

Here's what you can expect from us during the hiring process

Before you apply

Tips for a successful application experience

  • Get to know us

Like what we do, and how we do it? Do our values align with yours? If you like what you’ve seen, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Résumé and portfolio

Tell us about the impact you’ve made, the work you’re most proud of, and how you could be a culture-add to Tiimely. Tailor your résumé (and or portfolio) for the role you’re applying for.
  • References

Who has witnessed you at your best, or periods of professional growth? They’d probably make for great referees. Tell them about why you’re going for this role, and how your skills and experience align. We’ll let you know when we’ll be reaching out.

Step-by-step

Our hiring process

We’ll call you

Once you’ve submitted your application, and we’ve had a chance to read it, we’ll be in touch. This is a casual chat between you and one of your friendly Talent Acquisition team members.

We’ll cover:

  • What made you want to apply with Tiimely?
  • We’ll give you an overview of us: our journey, our culture and where we’re headed
  • Then we’ll do an initial screen to assess whether you’re suitable for the role
  • And then it’s over to you. Ask us all the questions.

With all of that information, we’ll go back to your hiring leader and determine your fit at Tiimely.

Let’s meet

We’ll make time for you to come into our Adelaide or Sydney office (depending on where we need the role to be based) and meet us face-to-face. You’ll meet some Tockers, like your hiring leader and a team member, maybe even someone from People & Culture. We’ll chat about the role, your skills and experience, your professional goals and objectives, and what you can expect during your time at Tiimely.

It’s a good time to get a feel for our culture and determine if this is somewhere you’d like to spend your days.

Tasks and take-homes

Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a task so you have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and creativity.

These can come in the form of micro-workshops, presentations, or problem-solving code – we’ll make sure the task aligns with what we’re hoping you’ll bring to the role, and time-fenced (we don’t expect, and don’t want you to spend inordinate amounts of time on this).

Let’s meet, again

Your second round interview is for culture-fit and culture-add. You’ll meet with Tockers from across the business who may work directly, or indirectly, with you. They’re our culture champions who are on the lookout for someone who is ready to grow and thrive at Tiimely. Maybe that’s you.

Delivering the news

This is undoubtedly the hardest bit for everyone. We’ll go through all the information we’ve collected, share our experience meeting you, and connect with your references. We’ll be in touch with news about our decision.

FAQs

We've included some FAQs in case you couldn't find what you were looking for.

It is not essential for you to attach a cover letter with your application, but it’s a good opportunity to introduce yourself and share anything you think doesn’t quite do justice in résumé form. We recommend personalising the cover letter to the role you’re applying for, so we can get a good first impression of why you’d be a great addition to the Tocker team.

We recommend getting to know Tiimely as much as possible – we share a wealth of information across our website, our retail brand (Tiimely Home), and across our socials, so that you can get a sense of who we are, and what we stand for.

We’re also big believers and practioners in 2-way conversations, so we welcome your questions for us. We’re all explorers at heart and encourage you to get curious about what this opportunity could mean for you.

Yes, go for it! We suggest carefully reviewing each job description and applying if you believe you’re a match. If your skills, experience, and career aspirations match across multiple roles, why not?

No drama. We’re all about hybrid work so we can hold interviews in person and remotely. We’ll arrange a time that works with your schedule, and subject to the availability of the interview panel. If you need any support during the interview process, please reach out to our Talent Acquisition team.

You’re making us blush!

You can get in touch with us to express your interest via our careers page. You’ll find our expression of interest (EOI) form, and you’ll be able to attach your résumé and cover letter too. We’ll add you to our talent pool and if the right opportunity comes up, we’ll be in touch.

No, we won’t contact your references without letting you know first.

Our Talent Acquisition team will be in touch if you’re successful in reaching the reference check stage. You’ll be given the opportunity to let your refences know that we’ll be in contact.

We always recommend that candidates give their references a heads up about the role, and give them a bit of background about Tiimely so that there are no surprises.
